Dr Shyam Vasudev

Dr. Shyam holds a doctorate in Real Time Embedded Systems, specialising in Parallel Computer Architecture from Indian Institute of Science (Gold Medal) and has been with CG Smith, Ericsson, Tata Consultancy Services, and has also worked as the Director of Technology at Philips. He was instrumental in devising one of the first hardware based antivirus solutions - KNOX CARD, in the ‘90s. In his illustrious career Dr. Shyam has established university relationships for joint research programs to work on wireless technology and medical electronics with IISc, IIT Mumbai, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, Maastricht University, and Aalborg University. While at Philips he established the innovation framework for the Consumer Electronics and Medical Systems division. He exponentially grew the patent portfolio of both the above divisions and established working relationships with best known academic and research institutions.

He is also on the board of studies of Visvesvaraya Technological University, BMS Engineering College, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, Manipal University, and BNMIT to name a few.

He is also a mentor/advisor to several successful startups like Cyclops, iTriangle, and Pathshodh.

He has filed more than 25 international patents, 5 US patent grants, and has published around 40 papers in international conferences and journals.

Anand Daniel

Anand Daniel joined Accel in 2010 and focuses on consumer, healthcare technology, and marketplace investments. Anand led Accel’s investments in Forus, EduPristine (acquired by DeVry), TaxiForSure (acquired by Ola), Swiggy, BlackBuck, and Vedantu. Prior to Accel, Anand worked for many years at Intel and Intel Capital, and was also an investor at Flybridge Capital. Anand grew up in Chennai and graduated from the University of Madras. He has a MBA from MIT and an engineering master’s degree from Purdue University.

Sachin Khandelwal

Sachin Khandelwal is Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management at NewQuest Capital Partners. Sachin joined NewQuest in 2017 and is responsible for portfolio management (India and SE Asia) wherein he works closely with the senior management to accelerate value creation and realization. Sachin has over 15 years of consulting and operating experience. He has also worked at a leadership role at Bain & Company’s consumer practice in India where he advised owners, CXOs, and PE funds on strategy, operations, organization, M&A, marketing & sales, and profit improvement. He has consulted both Indian and MNCs companies ranging from early-stage growth to Fortune 500. Prior to consulting, Sachin worked with Hindustan Unilever for 5 years across marketing and sales. Sachin received an MBA from IIM Calcutta and holds an undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from IIT Bombay.

Sameer Wagle

Sameer Wagle is the Managing Director of Asian Healthcare Fund, a leading healthcare-focused investment platform. He has an overall experience of 27 years in investing and operating roles, including over 20 years in the Private Equity/Venture Capital space across Indian and international platforms like Nomura, IL&FS, Vertex Management, and GVFL.

During his PE career, Sameer has invested in and worked closely with a number of companies and entrepreneurs in the consumer services and technology sectors in India and Southeast Asia. He has extensive experience in deal origination, due diligence, deal execution, exits, and portfolio management, including working with portfolio companies in areas like corporate strategy, business development, M&A, and new business initiatives. Sameer Wagle is an Electrical Engineer from the University of Pune, an MBA graduate from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute, USA.

Vinayak S Murudeshwar

Vinayak is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a commerce graduate from Mumbai University. He has been a critical presence at Forus Health, driving a strong controllership and compliance environment, supporting business leaders to drive and sustain a high culture of performance with key focus on business outcomes. He previously worked with oncology major HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. and has NBFC experience working with India Finserve Advisors Private Ltd. (A True North Venture) and ACC Ltd. Vinayak joined Forus Health in Sept 2018 and is responsible for the entire finance functioning including working closely with all the investors, stakeholders, auditors, and other concerned regulatory bodies.
